  • Registration Fee

Full Description

This 40-hour basic Spanish language training course has been prepared for the line level as well as specialized officers, and other law enforcement personnel.  Instruction will provide all law enforcement personnel to include, drug enforcement officers, street officers, detectives and officers that work in a jail environment with the tools necessary to recognize danger expressions directed toward them.  Officers will be given an understanding of the Latino/Hispanic culture.  In an effort to increase survivability in today’s violent world, classroom instruction will emphasize the usage of commands and control situations through oral recitation, grammatical explanation as well as scenario-based group training exercises.  This is not intended to be a conversational Spanish training course but rather one designed to equip officers with the basic skills necessary to remain safe in the field. Students will need the following materials provided by CTS. Yo Si Puedo Spanish for Law Enforcement, work binder for participants to keep, and 401 Verb conjugation books to use as resources during the class.
