INSTRUCTOR METHODOLOGY

The objective of this course is to develop critical course/training facilitation skills for professional

instructors/trainers. Participants will learn effective strategies on how to effectively communicate

learning objectives, be given an introduction to adult learning theory, and how to apply those

concepts to course content development. Students will gain an understanding of what qualities and

traits to embody, while learning what pitfalls to avoid. Participants will learn how to capitalize on the

use of advanced training aides and tools including case studies, role-plays, surveys, self assessments,

and Audio/Visual tools. Participants will also have an opportunity to deliver a short

presentation and apply the skills learned for immediate feedback and critique from peers.

Each student attending this class is expected to bring with them the following;
  1. Note taking material
  2. Laptop
